These are exciting times for Experience Design and Strategy.
Many companies are entering a second generation of integrating design thinking and experience design into their online and offline engagement with customers. The field of Experience Design has introduced new ways of engaging with business strategy and demonstrating value. There is great thinking out there.
After more than 4 years working in-house at AAA to design Experience programs, initiatives, & teams, I’m itching for a chance to help other companies do this kind of work in other contexts.
I’m reviving the VividTHINK consultancy.
The next few months will be a period of transition. I’ll be exploring the landscape, picking up a couple of jobs, writing a few articles, and talking with colleagues in the field.
I think we’re on the edge of a major integrative shift between the worlds of User Experience Design and Customer Experience Design and Strategy. There are many businesses in a variety of industries that are perched ready to showcase opportunities for this integration. I want to be a part of it.
I’ll chronicle some of the transition here. That’ll keep me honest and will let you see what I’m thinking and how I’m thinking about things. After all, I’m hoping that some of you will become my next customers.
So here’s to frontiers - and to new beginnings. Cheers!
